About Us
About the Agenda.
A small, deliberately practical set of planning materials for teaching science as inquiry in Grades 4–7 — shared freely with the classrooms that need them.
What this is
The Science Inquiry Based Agenda is a five-pillar inquiry sequence for Grades 4–7: a teacher planning worksheet and a worked answer key for each of the first four pillars, a one-page curriculum framework — the Synergistic Inquiry Flywheel — that holds the whole thing together, and the Pillar 5 skill assessment that closes the loop.
That is the entire library — 10 documents. It is meant to be small. Every page is designed to be used in a real lesson rather than read about.
Who it is from
The agenda is the work of Lucas Hayden, and the materials are shared with educators at no cost.
Who it is for
- Grades 4–7 science teachers who want inquiry to be the structure of a unit, not a garnish on it.
- Departments looking for a shared vocabulary across year groups.
- Trainee and early-career teachers who want the sequence made explicit.
- Home educators teaching science without a packaged curriculum.
